The Perfect 7-Day Vietnam Golf Itinerary (Da Nang Base, 4 Rounds)

By Asia Golf Specialists·15 April 2026·10 min read

Seven days, four rounds, one of the world's great golf destinations, and a private villa on An Bang Beach. This is the AGS benchmark Vietnam golf itinerary — refined over hundreds of client trips and built around the principle that the best golf trips are never just about golf.

What follows is a day-by-day blueprint. Every detail is adjustable; this is your starting point.

Day 1: Arrival — An Bang Beach

Arrive Da Nang International Airport → Private transfer to An Bang villa → Villa check-in, pool → Welcome dinner at The Deckhouse beachfront restaurant (a 2-minute walk from the villa) → Early evening to settle time zones.

Day 2: Round 1 — BRG Đà Nẵng Golf Resort (Norman Course)

7:00am tee time — wide, forgiving Greg Norman layout ideal for the opening round. Private transfer from villa → breakfast at clubhouse → 18 holes → lunch at the BRG clubhouse (Vietnamese pho or the international menu) → afternoon at the villa pool.

Day 3: Round 2 — Hoiana Shores Golf Club

7:00am tee time — Robert Trent Jones Jr. links masterpiece. Private transfer → 18 holes → lunch on-site → afternoon: optional Hoi An Ancient Town stroll (10-minute private transfer). Dinner: Tok restaurant, Hoi An — Vietnamese farm-to-table in the paddies.

Day 4: Cultural Day — Hoi An & My Son

Rest day from golf. Morning: sunrise at Hoi An Ancient Town (lanterns reflected in Thu Bon, before the tourist crowds). Mid-morning: My Son Sunrise or Red Bridge Cooking School (half-day class + foraging). Afternoon: villa pool, massage. Evening: Dinner at Mango Rooms by internationally renowned chef Duc Tran.

Day 5: Round 3 — Ba Na Hills Golf Club (Night Golf)

Late start day. Morning: villa pool and relaxed breakfast. 4:00pm: private transfer to Ba Na Hills (30 minutes). 5:30pm: Night golf tee time — Luke Donald's mountain course under full floodlights. 9:30pm: private transfer back to villa. Late dinner at villa or An Bang strip.

Day 6: Round 4 — Montgomerie Links

7:30am tee time — Colin Montgomerie's coastal links. The tactical finale of the circuit. Post-round: farewell lunch at the Montgomerie clubhouse. Afternoon: villa pool, packing. Farewell dinner: The Surf & Turf Beachclub, Hoi An (beachfront, excellent cocktails and winelist).

Day 7: Departure

Private transfer to Da Nang International Airport → departure. For groups extending southward: transfer to Ho Chi Minh City for a Ho Tram addition.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many golf rounds should I play in 7 days in Vietnam?+

AGS recommends 4 rounds over 7 days — enough to experience the full Da Nang circuit without fatigue. This leaves 3 days for rest, cultural experiences, and the Ba Na Hills night golf (which is best experienced as an evening activity rather than a full-day round commitment).

Is 7 days enough for a Vietnam golf holiday?+

7 days is the ideal minimum for a meaningful Da Nang golf circuit. It allows 4 quality rounds at the premier courses, a cultural day in Hoi An, beach recovery time at the villa, and the Ba Na Hills evening experience. Anything shorter feels rushed; anything longer invites a second region (Ho Tram or Hanoi extension).

What is the best base for a 7-day Vietnam golf itinerary?+

An Bang Beach, 5km from Hoi An Ancient Town and 15 minutes from Hoiana Shores, is AGS's preferred base for the Da Nang 7-day circuit. Private villa accommodation here places the group at the centre of the best dining, the best courses, and the best cultural experiences in Central Vietnam.

Can I customise the 7-day itinerary for my group?+

Yes, and AGS encourages it. The day-by-day structure shown here is our starting point — we adjust course sequencing, cultural experiences, accommodation type, and tee time windows based on your group's handicaps, preferences, and pace. Submit a quote request and we'll design a proposal within 48 hours.

What is the best time of year for a 7-day Vietnam golf trip?+

February through May is the ideal window for the Da Nang 7-day circuit. March and April are the peak comfort months — dry, warm, and uncrowded. For Australian school holiday periods, July–August works well for Central Vietnam.
